Renovation
Jamail & Smith proudly makes improvements to existing space in order to enhance the current functionality of the area.
First, we meet to identify the client’s renovation goals and expectations. We then discuss recommendations and develop a project scope of work. Once the scope of work has been reviewed and agreed upon, our result-proven process is applied to provide a project proposal per contract documents, as well as a project schedule.
Upon award, a preconstruction meeting is conducted with all stakeholders to ensure that everyone is on the same page. During this meeting, the construction schedule and all aspects of project coordination are explained in detail and agreed upon.
By updating the old with the new, even subtle renovations can make a huge impact. As an extension of our client’s team, we will intently listen to what they want and help them find a renovation solution for their client and the users of the newly transformed space.
Maintenance & Repair
Jamail & Smith, working with our vast pre-qualified subcontractor base, executes a variety of construction maintenance and repair projects. Our services include maintenance and repairs to mechanical systems, electrical systems, and plumbing, as well as exterior building maintenance and repair.
Because we specialize in corrective and preventative maintenance, our experience over the years has afforded us the opportunity to work with our clients on many of their deferred maintenance initiatives.
Our repair services include, but are not limited to: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural finishes, digital controls, access controls, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, concrete/sidewalk, and exterior building components.

Disaster Recovery
For more than three decades, Jamail & Smith has responded to those in need by getting our communities, and the people in those communities, back up and running after a disastrous event.
Our experienced team is equipped with the necessary tools and proven procedures required for an immediate response to our client’s needs. Our toolkit includes pre-storm preparation, loss mitigation, water extraction, debris removal, repair, and rebuild.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Ike, Hurricane Katrina, the Houston Tax Day Flood, Hurricane Harvey, and Winter Storm Uri, Jamail & Smith was called upon by our clients to aid them in getting their existing facilities back in operation so that they could immediately begin assisting the local community.
Emergency Response
Every building over time experiences an emergency that affects its occupants and/or operations. Whether a pipe has burst, an HVAC system has failed, or the roof has caved in, the Jamail & Smith team has the experience and grit to do whatever it takes to resolve our client’s construction emergency.
Our emergency response team is readily available to dispatch to your location, where we are quickly able to respond to your immediate emergency needs. This direct boots-on-the-ground approach allows us to quickly assess the damage and begin preparing a scope of work and estimate for the repairs.
As an extension of our client’s onsite team, we keep them actively updated on progress, allowing them to keep their building occupants informed of the impact of the emergency and the approximate schedule for resolution.
