- In 2005, Devin started in a corporate support role and was asked to handle any and all tasks that needed her attention.
- Devin has been instrumental in bringing the concept of Job Order Contracting to new public agencies not previously experienced with JOC.
- Devin has worked with a diverse portfolio of private and public-sector clients, such as senior living facilities, municipalities, universities and school districts, and she can effectively support virtually any type of project.

Working with the City of Houston and FEMA in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina left a lasting impact on Devin’s career. Jamail & Smith was asked to transform the former Auchan Hypermarket facility into a recovery center to process the thousands of evacuees.

What does “Making Our Clients Look Great” mean to you?
Our clients have clients (or customers) as well. When our clients present the space to their end-users, and their superiors, we want them to be proud of the final product. We want to deliver a quality construction result that makes our clients look great by providing a result their clients will love, and consequently our client’s superiors can’t help but love too.
How would you describe your job to a bunch of five-year-old’s?
My job is kind of like art class. Some days, we are coloring without a coloring book, other days we are painting by number, and the next day we are doing papier-mache.
What do you like to do on your days off?
On my days off, I enjoy reading or listening to audio books. I also love spending time with my family and participating in activities my kids like, including watching movies with my daughter. On Sundays, I look forward to speaking with my son who is in the army.
